Creating line breaks without bullets in Word or powerpoint 2007

When creating a bulleted or numbered list in MS Word or MS PowerPoint, pressing the ENTER key, will create a new line with a bullet or the next sequential number in the list. But what if you want an item to apear in the list , without a bullet or without incrementing the number?

Creating line breaks without bullets:

To create a new line item in a bulleted or numbered list, without a a bullet or the next sequential number in the numbered list, press SHIFT+ENTER. The cursor will move to the next line without a bullet or number.

Now if you want to continue the bulleted or numbered list, after such line item, simply press the ENTER key.A new line with a bullet or the next sequential number of the numbered list, will be created. 
 

This trick will definitely be handy when you want to create line breaks without bullets, in a bulleted or numbered list that you create in MS Word or MS PowerPoint (2007, 2003 or any earlier version).
