Fast online access via address bar on windows taskbar

Quickly access internet from your desktop through the address bar on your windows taskbar and enjoy fast online access.As soon as you logon to the PC and start your internet connection, you can browse the internet in a jiffy.  

Every time you access your internet, you have to click on your web browser like the Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc. and then go the address bar and type the URL of the website you want to visit. Here is a tip to quickly start browsing the internet. 
 

On many occasions, while reading a document you would like to quickly know the meaning of a word or a phrase in that document.To do this, you will normally open a browser, go to a search engine and type meaning, to find out the meaning. However if you have the address bar enabled on the windows taskbar, you just have to simply type “ meaning” into the address bar and press ENTER. It automatically opens your default browser and your default search engine and lists all websites, that define those words or phrases.  
 

Apart from this, you can also quickly access your files and folders on your PC or computer system by simply typing the drive letter (C:\, D:\ etc.) straightaway in the address bar of your computer’s taskbar and pressing enter. Here’s how you go about it.

How to get fast online access?

  • Right click on your windows taskbar >> Toolbars and then click on “Address” option (”Address” should be checked)

  • An address bar will appear on your windows taskbar
  • If your addess bar does not appear on the taskbar, uncheck lock the taskbar, drag the corners of the address bar to increase its width.Type the words or phrases for which you want to find the meaning or type the url of the website you want to browse and press ENTER. Windows will automatically open the website on your default web browser. To quickly access files and folders on your computer, type drive letter like C:\ , D:\ or any folder location in the address bar of your windows taskbar and Press Enter

    To drag the address bar first we have to uncheck lock the the taskbar ,then only we can drag address bar left side.

    That is right…I missed that…but for vista, it appears automatically…
