How to use PDFcrack to crack PDF passwords?

Open a command prompt window, and run pdfcrack.exe to crack PDF passwords.

  • pdfcrack -f <filename>.pdf

Replace <filename> with the actual file name of the password protected PDF file. If you remember the password length or if you know the user password then you can speeden up the password cracking process with the appropriate options.For eg: if you know the password length was either 7 or 8 characters, then you can try the following:.
