Get free Windows 7 and a few other Microsoft products for free through MSDN AA – MSDN Academic Alliance. MSDN AA refers to a family of membership program offered by Microsoft to fulfill the different needs of students and the academic audience worldwide.

MSDN AA allows schools and colleges in 45 countries to get the latest software from Microsoft at cheaper prices. As per the Terms of this program, the enrolling institution pays an annual fee which gives them access to licensed copies of Microsoft software for use by their students and their computer labs. There are various membership options available for educational institutions (schools and colleges) like Developer AA, Designer AA and High School AA.

Developer Academic Alliance (Developer AA), formerly referred to as MSDN Academic Alliance Membership, is designed to provide the easiest and most inexpensive way for universities to make the latest Microsoft software available in labs, classrooms, and on the student PCs. Developer AA is an annual membership program for departments that use technology in support of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) courses. Membership provides a complete, inexpensive solution to keep academic labs, faculty and students on the leading edge of technology.

Designer Academic Alliance was designed to provide the easiest and most inexpensive way for universities to make the latest Microsoft design tools available to Art and Design Students for use in labs, desktop and personal machines.Designer Academic Alliance is an annual membership program for departments that use technology in support of Visualization, Illustration, Design, and Art (VIDA) courses.

The MSDNAA Subscription for High Schools and Secondary Schools is known as High School AA. This Membership program enables High School departments to install on their machines all the latest Microsoft design and development tools, database server software, documentation, and technical references. In addition, students in the department will have complete access to these tools and references for use on their personal computers.

How to get Windows 7 Free?

  • 1. Go to MSDNAA school search here.
  • 2. Select your school’s (or college) country, state or province, city and finally the school from the respective drop-downs in order.
  • 3. You will be shown the department and software center of your school or college from where you can download Windows 7 or other Microsoft products.
  • 4. Click on “Visit Software Center”.
  • 5. Login to the software center. If you do not have the login info, contact your schools IT department for the same.
  • 6. Click “Software” and select “Windows 7″ (or any other software you want to download).
  • 7. Download Windows 7 (or the chosen Microsoft product).
