I would like to remove the easy slider and replace it with a new one.

Exactly…it is because you changed the widths…but i wasn’t sure of why you wanted it to be wider…

the theme was orginally designed with widths that fitted inside the page width standard of 960 or 980 px…

but the scrolling is not needed on my PC as it has a wider screen and a better resolution…

Having a problem again.
My blog shows up all crazy on internet explorer.

@tom, You seem to be using Indy Premium theme.

Reduce the min-height under #featured in the theme’s style.css. The min-height is currently set to 250px.
Then reduce the height property for the items #slider, #slider li. It is also set to 250px.

open and close the single quotes. i.e. two single quotes for prevText and two for nextText. you have placed only one single quote for either of them.

I think you have placed a double quote for prevText and nextText. It should be single quotes (open and close) – denoting an empty string.

if it still doesn’t work, disable lightbox plugin – wp-lightbox2 and try…

hey boss…The quotes are not proper in the script.Since you copied from the comment, the quotes in that script look different.Copy the script from the original header.php of your theme download or correct the quotes.

i.e. the double quotes around #slider and the single quotes for prevText and nextText.

@Dave…You site looks perfect here.You clear your browser cache and check.Regarding scroll, it will happen only if you add more posts to Featured category, as I mentioned in my previous comment.Right now, you have added only one post.

I have done that and the posts still keep coming up below the box and over the homepage content.
Also it does not scroll automatically
