Netbooks are small, light and inexpensive laptop computers suited for general computing and accessing web-based applications. But the lack of optical drives in netbooks, make installation of an OS like Windows 7 very difficult. The freeware Koala addresses this problem by letting you create a bootable USB thumb drive installer for windows including Windows 7 and windows vista.

- Insert the DVD for Windows 7 (or Vista or Windows Server System 2008) into the optical drive of your PC. Note that Koala creates the USB installer from the DVD.
- Insert the flash disk (also referred to as USB thumb disk or pen disk) with at least 4 GB capacity, into the PC’s USB drive.
