Potato screen capture is yet another free screen capture utility for windows.Earlier we covered an excellent inbuilt screen capture tool for windows vista.While that is available only for vista, Potato screen capture works on windows XP, windows 2000 and more. 

Potato screen capture is a simple print screen tool, with which you can simply capture the whole Screen or any part of the Screen in one click and email it to anyone using the inbuilt Gmail SMTP service.You can even upload the screen capture to your Imageshack account or edit it using Paint.

How to print screen with Potato screen capture?

  • Run Potato screen capture by double clicking its desktop icon or its system tray icon
  • Choose to capture the whole screen or any part of the screen on windows
  • After the screen capture, choose to either edit it using Paint or to share it using Gmail or upload it onto Imageshack.You can even save the image on to your PC/computer system.

    Looks ok…but I guess what I don’t get is why can’t I take a simple screenshot and then attach it in an email?
