How to rip audio from Video?

  • 1. In the toolbar, click on the top left folder icon and load the video file from your computer.
  • 2. [Optional Step] Set the A & B marker positions, if you want only a portion of the audio track to be extracted.You can use the slider to set the start and end positions. Move the slider and click A at the position which you want to mark as Start. Again, move the slider and mark the end point
  • 3. Click on the Audio option on the left side panel and choose the audio codec you want to use – e.g. MP3, Vorbis, WAV, AAC or “Copy’, if you just want to extract a piece of the original soundtrack.
  • 4. You can also click on the “Configure” button to change the output bit rate for your audio codec [optional step]
  • 4. Now, click on the “Audio” option in the menu bar and select “Save” to save the audio

How to extract Video without audio?

Avidemux can also be used to extract a portion of the video from a bigger video file. Find below the steps to extract video.

  • 1. In the toolbar, click on the top left folder icon and load the video file from your computer.
  • 2. Set the A & B marker positions if you want only a portion of the video to be extracted [Optional Step]
  • 3. Click on “Audio” in toolbar. Select “Main Track” and then “None” to mute the audio.
  • 4. Click on the “Save” icon to extract and save the video file.
