windows System Files Replacer
Replace Windows system files with the free Windows Se7en File Replacer!!! This is designed to automatically backup the old windows system file and replace it with the selected system file!!
Unlike windows XP, you cannot replace a Windows system file in vista or Windows 7, unless you have administrative privileges. Thereby, Microsoft prevents accidental overwriting of windows system files, which can result in unpredictable system performance that ranges from application errors to operating system crashes. System instability caused by non-standard replacement of system files has been a common problem in earlier versions of windows.
However, there may be situations where you want to replace Windows system files. For example, to install custom themes in Windows 7, Vista and Windows XP, you need to patch Uxtheme.dll (theme manager dll), themeui.dll and themeservice.dll. All these files are located in the system folder – C:/windows/system32. Patching these windows system DLLs actually mean that you will need to replace those Windows system files with the patched (modified) files.Once you patch up those three DLLs, you may be able to install any custom theme.
Windows Se7en File Replacer makes the job of replacing Windows system files easy and quick. This program will automatically backup the old system file, “Take Ownership” of the file and replace it with the dragged or manually selected system file!!! This is possible because the utility runs in Admin mode. Note that drag and drop only works if “UAC” is disabled. Otherwise you will have to use the Manual button.
