Double delight from Google – Nexus S and Gingerbird!
– Nexus S is the child of a Google Samsung nexus and will this prove to be the iphone killer? Google announced its next flagship phone – Google Nexus S and it will run the latest android OS – Gingerbird! Samsung Galaxy S, powered by android, was a big hit worldwide. The Korean company made a big impression on Google with the beauty of their Samsung Galaxy S, literally tempting and inviting them to have an affair, in building their next flagship smartphone running Gingerbird – Nexus S!
Nexus S will retain most specifications in Samsung Galaxy S and will have a few better ones too! The super sleek phone will have a four-inch Super AMOLED contour display, featuring ergonomic curves and a five-megapixel digital camera at the rear, with an equally good front camera which is capable of producing VGA quality images and videos. Further, Nexus S has also been given a dark background, to ensure less power consumption and an enhanced battery life.
One of the drawbacks with most good smartphones is they are not that good when you take them outdoor. Google promises 75% less glare than on other smartphone displays and this would mean that the videos and every other display on Nexus S would continue to be rendered clearly, even when you are outdoor.
If we had to pick out some of the most useful features in Google nexus S, here are some of them.
- You can use it as a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to six portable devices such as laptops or tablets, and once connected these devices will have instant access to the internet with no additional carrier fees! Isn’t that cool?
- Support for internet calling or enhanced VoIP dialing to other SIP accounts and even phone numbers. You will however need an account with a SIP provider to take advantage of this built-in SIP feature.
- And above all, it promises to be a super fast smartphone with a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor and 16GB of internal memory
While Samsung Galaxy S was the first real competitor to the Iphone, Google Nexus S promises to take this fight further. What will make it more superior is the fact that it will be unlocked by default, thereby letting you to use it with any GSM carrier and continue to enjoy the thousands of cool apps hitting the android market.
