Touch Screen Monitor for Windows 7
– Windows is a popular operating system, but very few know that it embraces multi-touch technology! What does this multi-touch support mean? You can use two or more fingers to painlessly flick through folders, files, web pages, photo albums and more.
Touch Screen on Windows 7
With a touch screen monitor, you can literally control your computer with your fingers. Scrolling up and down those lengthy pages had never been as easy on windows, as with windows 7 and a multi-touch compatible PC or laptop monitor. Here are some cool ways to interact with windows 7 and its apps, using a touch screen monitor.
- Slide your fingertip up the jump list icon, to open the jump list and check the recently opened items
- To zoom an image or any other object in windows 7, place your two fingers on the touch screen monitor and spread them apart
- You don’t need a brush to paint in windows 7 paint app, and you can discover the painter in you with your fingers
If you love tapping your mobile phones, then you will surely love tapping your laptop screen or the computer screen. Though laptops have the right screen dimensions (width and height) to play with your fingers, windows 7 touch is not for the laptops alone and there are new touch screen monitors emerging in the market. these are certified for use with windows 7.
Viewsonic Touch Screen Monitor
Viewsonic has developed a 22-inch VX2258wm monitor, that connects via USB to the host computer. Large monitors are good for watching movies and to that end, the monitor has a 1080p resolution, a contrast ratio of 100,000:1 and a 5ms response time.
The multi-touch compatible monitor is an attempt to bring the fun of touch screen interaction with windows 7, to your desktops. When your fingers are too tired to click the mouse, the touch screen can probably help you relieve the pain in your fingers.
But then the monitor is said to have a “VESA” wall-mount option. We are not sure of what Viewsonic is trying to achieve, as touch screen support for a wall mounted monitor may not be really useful. If ever I wanted to use it as a touch screen monitor for my windows 7 OS, I will forgo the wall mounting option.
